I made this little dragon (he's about a foot and a half long) for a friend's graduation present. "Snarky" has fully articulate fingers, toes, and wings (16-gauge wire). It started out a Simplicity pattern, but half of it is my own design because the Simplicy dragon pattern SUCKS!

oh he's absolutely charming!
the vorts were always my favourite, I hated having to kill them in the original games.

I think his third arm is a bit high though...

Dear /craft/,

I am planning to build this windmill on an 1:20 scale (1,30 meter) to put in my garden.
Can you recommend me some materials and maybe techniques?

Chicken wire attached to a wooden beam might work for the blades. The side facing you in the picture also looks like it could be done with wood. Not sure about the rest, sorry!

>> No.26

The blades are under construction and are made of wood. It is very delicate so I will have to paint it in order to protect it from the environment.

Is chickenwire that good an idea? The honeycomb pattern would show.

That's pretty nifty. I'm wearing almost the exact same thing right now. Nice job.
